About Us
Jill Mitchell-Thein has been practicing law since 1991. She has litigation and legal publishing experience in several areas of law including personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal, consumer, and family issues. As a resident of San Antonio, Texas ("Military City, USA") she saw a need that her legal experience could address.

She served over 20 years as an Air Force wife and is now married to a retired Navy veteran. Her daughter is a Navy veteran and her stepson is serving in the Air Force.

In 2000, she narrowed her practice to focus solely on veterans' law and has been fighting the VA ever since. She is accredited to represent veterans from all over the country at all levels of the administrative and judicial process and has been admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims since 2001. She is also licensed to practice in all courts in the state of Texas.

She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1988 with a B.A. in English. In 1991, she received her law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law.

She has been a sustaining member of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates (NOVA) since 2001, and served six years (2008-2014) on its Board of Directors.
